Series: House Immortal #2
I’ve got a book hangover because Infinity Bell was that fucking great! I got to the last page and went to flip to the next to realize it was over. I was left hanging with the mother of all cliffhangers.
It picked up right where House Immortal left off. These books are really a continuation of one story rather than individual stories involving the same set of characters. Because of this, every book in the series will probably have cliffhangers, but it’s so worth it. Anyway Matilda, Abraham, the Neds, and Quinton were on the run to save themselves from their enemies and to save millions of other people by trying to right the wrongs of the past.
There was good character development. Some characters surprised me in both good and bad ways. Help came from unexpected sources. There are two bad guys in the series, and I completely underestimated one of them.
Towards the end some bad things happen. Then things changed and a good and bad thing happened. As a result all kinds of crazy shit happened. In regards to some of the time travel stuff, I’m not sure what really happened. Some people may be dead or may be alive. The. Fucking. End. I want my own time machine to jump 6 months into the future when the next book will be out.
